NSW Government Start Strong Fee Relief Subsidy
The NSW Government provides fee relief to families through the Start Strong Affordable Preschool initiative as part of the Early Years Commitment. This funding is provided directly to the preschool, which we then pass along to families in the form of a fee reduction. If claiming the Fee Relief Subsidy your child’s daily Preschool fees will be free for up to a maximum of 3 days per week.
The Fee Relief Subsidy can only be claimed from one Early Childhood Education and Care service. If you wish to claim the subsidy from another service that your child attends (preschool or long day care) you can indicate this in the section on your declaration form.

Be You
Cooma North Preschool following on from our involvement with Kidsmatter Early Childhood has now transitioned to the Be You Early Learning program. We are passionate about promoting strategies and skills to enhance positive mental health in children and their families.
Be You aims to transform Australia’s approach to supporting children’s and young people’s mental health in early learning services and schools. Our vision is that every learning community is positive, inclusive and resilient – a place where every child, young person, educator and family can achieve their best possible mental health.
Narragunnawali
We recognise the histories and culture that preceded our preschool foundation and believe that we have a responsibility to maintain a sense of connection to the land and to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples and cultures. Our vision for reconciliation is to continue to promote relationships, respect and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples and non indigenous people to come together and learn from each other in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
We have a Reconciliation Action Plan approved by Reconciliation Australia which supports and guides our practices.

Munch and Move
Cooma North Preschool is proud to be a part of the NSW Department of Health Munch and Move program for over 10 years.
Early childhood is the ideal time for children to form healthy food and physical activity habits that will give them the best chance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle throughout their lives. It is also a great time to cultivate the fundamental movement skills and confidence children need to enjoy physical activities at school.
